About GamblingCalc.com

GamblingCalc.com is a free library of 250+ gambling calculators covering sports betting, casino games, poker, and crypto gambling. Every tool is built on established probability theory and shows its formulas and assumptions openly — no black boxes, no hidden math.

The site exists because gambling is defined by probability, and most players make decisions without understanding the numbers behind the games they play. Our calculators do not predict winners or guarantee profits. What they do is make the underlying mathematics visible — expected value, variance, house edge, risk of ruin, optimal staking — so you can make informed decisions instead of guessing.

Meet the Founder

Jack Beaumont

Jack Beaumont is a Canadian webmaster and gambling analytics specialist who has been in the iGaming industry since 2016. What began with casino platform testing and affiliate marketing evolved into a deep focus on gambling mathematics and tool development.

Jack built GamblingCalc.com as a response to a simple problem: most gambling calculators online use basic arithmetic when the real math behind betting and casino games involves Poisson distributions, discrete gambler’s ruin formulas, Monte Carlo simulation, Dixon-Coles correction models, and Kelly Criterion optimization. He wanted to make these methods accessible to anyone, for free.

The calculators on the site draw on established academic and professional sources — from Mason Malmuth’s bankroll management frameworks to Bill Chen and Jerrod Ankenman’s poker mathematics, and the statistical models used by sharp sportsbooks. Every calculator displays its methodology and limitations, because a tool is only useful if you understand what it assumes.

Outside of building calculators, Jack is a certified private member of the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA).

What the Site Covers

The calculator library spans four main verticals:

  • Sports Betting: Poisson-based score prediction, arbitrage detection, margin analysis, Kelly Criterion staking, hedging, risk of ruin, closing line value, and 20+ football-specific market calculators (Asian handicaps, correct score, booking points, player props).
  • Casino Games: Expected loss and session variance for blackjack, roulette, baccarat, slots, and video poker. Paytable analyzers for Casino Hold’em, Three Card Poker, and Caribbean Stud. Slot volatility simulators, bonus buy EV, and progressive jackpot break-even analysis.
  • Poker: Equity calculators (Hold’em, Omaha, Short Deck), pot odds, implied odds, ICM, push/fold charts, tournament variance, cash game bankroll requirements, and rake analysis.
  • Crypto & General: Crash game mathematics, dice calculators, provably fair verification, bankroll management, comps and loyalty value, tax calculators, and responsible gambling budget tools.

Our Approach

Math-First, Not Tips

This is not a tips site. We do not tell you who will win or which slot is “hot.” Every tool on the site applies a specific mathematical model — Poisson, binomial, normal approximation, discrete simulation — and shows you the result with its assumptions stated clearly. If a model has limitations, we say so.

Transparent Formulas

Each calculator displays the methodology it uses: the formula, the inputs, the assumptions, and what the output means. We believe a calculator that produces a number without explaining how it got there is not useful — it is a black box pretending to be math.

Independence

Calculation results are never influenced by advertising or affiliate partnerships. The math does not change based on who is paying. This is a core principle of the site.

Responsible Gambling

Our tools are designed to help you understand probability, not to encourage gambling. Several calculators — expected loss, risk of ruin, bankroll longevity, budget affordability — are built specifically to show the real cost of play.

Key principles we stand by:

  • No calculator on this site guarantees profit. Gambling involves risk, and the house has a mathematical edge in most games.
  • Bankroll management tools help you plan, but they do not eliminate variance.
  • If gambling is causing financial or personal problems, please seek help.
