Tennis Bet Builder & SGP Calculator

The Bet Builder (also known as Same Game Parlay or SGP) has revolutionized tennis betting. It allows you to combine multiple outcomes from a single match into one big bet — for example, betting on Alcaraz to Win AND Total Aces Over 10.5 AND First Set Score 6-4.

However, calculating the fair odds for these bets is tricky. You cannot simply multiply the odds together because the events are correlated (connected). Our Tennis Bet Builder Calculator is the only tool that allows you to calculate standard accumulators, adjust for SGP correlation, and analyze Wincast/Setcast markets in one place.

How to Use the Calculator

This tool features three distinct modes to cover every type of combination bet. Here is how to use each tab:

1. Match Doubles/Trebles (Standard Accumulator)

Use this tab when betting on different matches (e.g., Sinner to win Match A and Djokovic to win Match B).

  • Input: Enter the decimal odds for each selection.
  • Result: Since these events are independent, the calculator simply multiplies the odds to give you the total return.

2. SGP / Bet Builder (Same Match)

Use this tab when combining events within the same match.

  • Enter Odds: Input the odds for your legs (e.g., Match Winner @ 1.40 and Total Sets Over 3.5 @ 2.00).
  • Adjust Correlation: This is the secret sauce. Use the slider to estimate how connected the events are.
    • Low Correlation: Events that don’t really affect each other (e.g., Match Winner and First Ace).
    • High Correlation: Events that usually happen together (e.g., “Player A to Win 2-0” and “Under 2.5 Sets”).

3. Setcast & Wincast

Use this for specific pre-packaged markets.

  • Wincast: Player to win the match + Exact score (e.g., 3-1).
  • Setcast: Player to win a specific set + Exact score of that set.

Understanding Correlation: SGP vs. Accumulator

The most important concept in Bet Builders is Correlation. This determines why your SGP odds are often lower than a standard parlay.

Example 1: The Independent Bet (Standard Acca)

You bet on Nadal to win (1.50) and Medvedev to win (1.50) in two separate matches.

  • Math: 1.50 × 1.50 = 2.25.
  • Why: Nadal winning has absolutely no influence on whether Medvedev wins.

Example 2: The Correlated SGP (Bet Builder)

You bet on Nadal to win (1.50) and Nadal to win 2-0 (2.00) in the same match.

  • Raw Math: 1.50 × 2.00 = 3.00 (Incorrect).
  • Real SGP Odds: Likely around 2.10.
  • Why: If Nadal wins 2-0, he automatically wins the match. You aren’t taking two separate risks; you are taking one specific risk. Our calculator helps you adjust for this “overlap” to see if the bookie is offering fair value.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between Wincast and Scorecast?

Wincast is a bet on a player to win the match combined with a specific scoreline (e.g., Alcaraz to win 3-1). Scorecast is typically used in football (First Goalscorer + Correct Score) and is less common in tennis, though some bookies use the term interchangeably with Wincast.

What happens if one leg of my Bet Builder is void?

In most sportsbooks, if one leg of an SGP is void (e.g., a player retires, making the “Total Aces” leg void), the entire Bet Builder is voided and your stake is returned. This differs from standard accumulators where the void leg is simply removed, and the rest of the bet stands.

Can I combine Bet Builders from different matches?

Yes, this is often called a “Multi-Match Bet Builder.” You can build an SGP for Match A, build another for Match B, and combine them into one large accumulator. To calculate this, first calculate the SGP odds for each match using our tool, and then multiply those totals together.
